Gyan Ganga Institute become part of NITI Ayog’s Atal Innovation Center

Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences Jabalpur has become partner institute of Design Innovation Center, RDVV for prestigious Niti Ayog Atal Community Innovation Center.  Niti Ayog, New Delhi has sanctioned 2.5 Crore grant for the project. The objective of the project is to support innovative business ideas of students and faculties and incubate start ups. GGITS Jabalpur had tied up with Design Innovation to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration amongst industry, academia, Institutions, research laboratories, etc. The Atal Community Innovation Center GGITS will serve as a location for the industrial collaborators to encourage their new Product Development in the campus using in-house facilities and imparts design based education and practice systematic design through projects. The project was coordinated by Dr. R V Kshirsagar, Principal and Mr. U N Bera, Assistant Professor, Electronics & Communication Engineering.

These enterprises play a crucial role in the economic development of a country and are often referred to as the backbone of the economy.

Role of MSMEs:

Employment Generation:

MSMEs are significant contributors to employment generation, particularly in developing countries. They provide jobs to many people, both in urban and rural areas.

Promotion of Entrepreneurship:

MSMEs encourage entrepreneurship by providing opportunities for individuals to start and run their own businesses. They foster innovation and creativity.

Contribution to GDP:

MSMEs make a substantial contribution to a country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by producing a wide range of goods and services.

Local and Regional Development:

MSMEs often operate in smaller towns and rural areas, promoting local and regional development. They bring economic activities to areas that might otherwise be underdeveloped.

Supply Chain Support:

MSMEs are integral parts of the supply chains of larger companies. They provide raw materials, components, and various services, contributing to the overall growth of industries.

Responsibilities of MSMEs:

Compliance:

The HIs are provided with financial assistance up to Rs 15 lakh for every idea after its approval by the project monitoring and advisory committee (PMAC). 15 per cent of the total approved cost is borne by incubatees while the remaining 85 per cent is contributed by the MSME ministry.

MSMEs must adhere to various legal and regulatory requirements, such as tax laws, labor laws, and environmental regulations.

Quality and Safety:

MSMEs should ensure the quality and safety of their products or services to maintain customer trust and satisfaction.

Financial Management:

Proper financial management, including budgeting and accounting, is crucial for the sustainability of MSMEs.

Employee Welfare:

If they have employees, MSMEs should prioritize employee welfare, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and compliance with labor laws.

Environmental Responsibility:

MSMEs should adopt environmentally responsible practices to minimize their impact on the environment.

ONE DAY ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS PROGRAMME (EAP): 22-08-2022

Under the flag ship of MSME -DI,Indore, one day EAP workshop is being conducted successfully at Gyan Ganga
Institute of Technology and Sciences, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Entrepreneurship as a career option can be quite challenging and rewarding at the same time. GGITS MSME conduct seminars for awareness among students and their parents to create awareness about “Entrepreneurship”.

GGITS Organizes Idea Hackathon Under MSMS Incubation Centre

 

 

Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has been recruited as Official Nodal Center of Virtual Laboratories at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur under MoE’s initiative of Virtual Labs project with Prof. Kantesh Balani as the Principal Investigator.
