Since its inception in 2003(AICTE - Approval Date:12/05/2003, Ref. No.: 06/01/MP/DEG/2003/006), the Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been continuously making progress in teaching and R&D activities. Started with an intake of 60 students, the sanctioned intake was increased to 120 seats in 2006(AICTE Ref. No.: 06/01/MP/ENGG/2003/006) and further the intake was increased to 180 in the year 2012. In 2010, the department started a PG Program in “Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)” with an intake of 18 students and the intake increased to 36 in the year 2013. In 2012, the department started one more PG Program in “Software System (SS)” with an intake of 18 students and the intake was increased to 36 in the year 2013.
Over the period, students with good score have got admission in the department. A Large number of companies visit us for recruitment/ training. The Department has entered into an MoU with HCL,IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Zensar Technologies, Hexaware Centre Of Excellence & GTT for software training and Faculty Development Programmes.

PO 1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization for the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO 2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO 3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO 4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
PO 5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
PO 6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Able to apply the knowledge gained during the course of the program from Mathematics, Science & Engineering to solve computation task, and ability to understand, analyze and develop computer programs in the areas related to algorithms, system software, multi-media, web designing, big data analytics and networking.
PSO 2. Able to comprehend the technological advancements by the continuous usage of modern tools for analysis and design of computer based systems with varying complexity.
PSO 3. Able to communicate effectively in oral and written forms with good leadership quality, team work, managerial skill to work in multi-disciplinary environment, demonstrating the practice of professional ethics for sustainable development of society.
